Position:  Bioinformatics Scientist, Bioinformatician

Description:
Skilled programmer or a bioinformatician with experience in NGS data analysis and advanced programming experience in Python, Perl, JAVA, etc. Experience in R, UNIX, LINUX and System administration is preferred. Should have a foundation of basic molecular or cellular biology or related disciplines. The ideal applicant will have great communication skills, keen analytical capabilities and the ability to develop novel analysis pipelines and reporting tools.
 
Requirements:
Degree in Computational Science/Biology, Bioinformatics or related disciplines, with an emphasis in informatics. Will consider bachelors, masters, doctoral, postdoctoral candidates. Start-up or mid-biotech industry experience a plus.



Position:  Manufacturing and Quality Control Specialist

Description:
This position is responsible for manufacturing and quality control support for Swift.

Specific Responsibilities:

Manufacturing and Quality Control:
  • Manufacture products according to defined protocols
  • Manage manufacturing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Record and track usage of all consumables and reagents used in manufacturing and quality control
  • Maintain and update reagent tracker database
  • Place and track orders with suppliers for manufacturing and quality control materials
  • Maintain clean room facilities and manufacturing and quality control equipment
  • Maintain and monitor manufacturing freezers
  • Assist with quality control process 

Order Processing:
  • Process, package, ship and document all product orders, beta products and free samples

Inventory Management:
  • Responsible for manufacturing and quality control inventory control
  • Responsible for physical inventory management and counts

General:
  • Participate in project teams 
  • Perform other duties as required 
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes

Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Vice President of Finance.

Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity
  • Excellent laboratory skills, including the ability to accurately measure volumes, weigh solids, make solutions and dilutions and dispense liquids into small tubes and/or multi-well plates
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including qPCR systems, thermocyclers, gel electrophoresis, NanoDrop, multichannel pipettes, repeating pipettes, and centrifuges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines 
  • Experience with computers, Excel and Word

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences or chemistry


Position:  Scientist

Description:
Molecular biologist. We are looking for smart researchers with excellent bench skills. Must be experienced in nucleic acid experimentation, such as NGS, PCR, qPCR, etc. Above all we are interested in problem solvers and innovators who are able to work outside of existing protocols. A track record of technology development is a plus. Will be working in a team format to develop new products, and interact with customers to establish applications ranging from oncology to microbiology and beyond.
 
Requirements:
Will consider M.S., Ph.D. and Postdoctoral-level training in molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar fields. Start-up or mid-biotech industry experience a plus but not required.
