Position:  Logistics Coordinator


This position reports to the Product Lifecycle Manager. The primary focus is product shipment activities with secondary support for product quality control.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Create all documents necessary for completion of domestic and international product shipments that include, but are not limited to, courier AWB (Fedex, DHL, UPS, etc.), commercial invoice, manufacturer’s declaration, company protocols, invoice, and packing slip.
  • Use initiative to track product shipments to ensure prompt delivery to customers. Notify customers when additional information is required for delivery of their product order. Work with courier service to streamline shipping process, file claims, and identify solutions.
  • Create and maintain customer database to track logistical requirements of past and present customers to ensure accurate future deliveries.
  • Physically pack shipping boxes, label, and arrange pick-ups for daily shipments.
  • Serve as customer liaison by handling customer inquiries, order confirmations, and submission of invoices.
  • Assist Manufacturing with product labelling as needed and coordinate inventory tracking and stocking activities.
  • Assist Manufacturing with packing of product boxes and quality check of product boxes.
  • Relevant work experience in logistical activities and/or customer service

Position:  Manufacturing and Quality Control Specialist

This position is responsible for manufacturing and quality control support for Swift Biosciences Inc.

Specific Responsibilities:

Manufacturing and Quality Control:
  • Manufacture products according to defined protocols
  • Manage manufacturing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Record and track usage of all consumables and reagents used in manufacturing and quality control
  • Maintain and update reagent tracker database
  • Place and track orders with suppliers for manufacturing and quality control materials
  • Maintain clean room facilities and manufacturing and quality control equipment
  • Maintain and monitor manufacturing freezers
  • Assist with quality control process 
Order Processing: 
  • Process, package, ship and document all product orders, beta products and free samples
Inventory Management: 
  • Responsible for manufacturing and quality control inventory control
  • Responsible for physical inventory management and counts
  • Participate in project teams 
  • Perform other duties as required 
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Product Lifecycle Manager.

  • Manual dexterity
  • Excellent laboratory skills, including the ability to accurately measure volumes, weigh solids, make solutions and dilutions and dispense liquids into small tubes and/or multi-well plates
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including qPCR systems, thermocyclers, gel electrophoresis, NanoDrop, multichannel pipettes, repeating pipettes, and centrifuges

Position:  Applications Scientist / Product Specialist


This position is responsible for the scientific and technical support for Swift’s products.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to customers
  • Assist with product launches
  • Develop and produce manuals, application notes, publications, technical copy, posters, and promotional materials
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the life science market, trends, competitors and their products, and technologies that are complimentary to or compete with Swift’s products
  • Participate in project teams
  • A minimum of three years of proven scientific experience
  • Previous applications support experience in the life sciences highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a start-up or small life science supply company desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and manage projects
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
Educational Requirements:

PhD in the life sciences, preferably molecular biology or biochemistry or equivalent industry experience. Must be proficient in nucleic acid experimentation. Special consideration given to familiarity and/or experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) experimentation and analysis.

Position: Research Associate


Molecular biologist. We are looking for a motivated researcher with excellent bench skills. Must be experienced in nucleic acid experimentation; NGS library preparation and qPCR a plus. Will be working in a team format.


Will consider M.S.-level or B.S.-level with research associate experience. Start-up or mid-biotech industry experience a plus.

Position: Scientist


Molecular biologist. We are looking for a motivated researcher with excellent bench skills. Must be experienced in nucleic acid experimentation, such as NGS and qPCR. Above all we are interested in problem solvers and innovators who are able to work outside of existing protocols. A track record of technology development is a plus. Will be working in a team format to develop new products, and interact with customers to establish applications ranging from oncology to microbiology and beyond.


Will consider Ph.D. and Postdoctoral-level training or equivalent industry experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar fields. Start-up or mid-biotech industry experience a plus but not required.

Position: Bioinformatics Scientist


We're looking for a programmer or biologist with some experience using the command line on Unix-based operating systems. You should be comfortable using some of the basic Unix command line tools such as awk, sed, and similar standard Unix utilities, as well as basic file handling and system administration. Responsibilities will include analysis of NGS data using established workflows (Bash scripts) and other command line tools, organizing results, and creating summary reports of analysis results. This position will be a great opportunity to gain experience in NGS data analysis and to strengthen basic bash programming and Unix system administration skills, as well as develop skills using other scripting languages such as Python, R, and Perl. Important skills include the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, including good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, as well as a general willingness to learn new things.


BS or MS in STEM fields. Experience with Linux and the command line; html coding or report formatting; and a general willingness to learn. A basic understanding of molecular biology or genetics is a plus. Start-up or mid-biotech industry experience is also a plus.
